While the exterior wall surfaces of select cypress are primed and hand brushed with four coats or the best exterior enamel available, the interiors are rough-hewn allowing the chicks to crawl out to the perch and spread their wings for youthful flight. The roof of each of these bird houses sport extra heavy ¼” cedar shakes or solid copper and are permanently attached to the main house through the use of rust free fasteners for many years of maintenance free overhead protection. Each of the four doorways is appointed with a perch of hand selected East African mahogany. This tropical wood, naturally resistant to moisture, is used for added durability and is decoratively routed in the Victorian tradition and integrated for a very finely detailed touch. All in all, each unit in this series embodies a bird house of the quality and durability that will enhance your home garden and which you will enjoy viewing for many years to come as your bird friends nest comfortably and securely with their new families.
